Over 617 womens marches took place worldwide on January 21, 2017! Girls, boys and men marched too.
See the start of our collection of girls’ photos and words, and those who marched with them. We’ll be publishing these stories and photos later this year. Our vision is girls lighting each other’s activist torches in the ongoing global movement for equal rights and opportunities! As Gloria Steinem said when accepting the Presidential Medal of Honor in 2013,
You know, people often ask me, at this age, who am I passing the torch to? And I always say, first of all, that I’m not giving up my torch, thank you very much. But also, I’m using my torch to light other people’s torches. Because the idea that there’s one torch-passer is part of the bonkers hierarchical idea—and if we each have a torch, there’s a lot more light.
Use the form here to send us photos and your experiences at the Women’s Marches. We’re beyond excited to hear from you!
